Bouncers on stage Wed 3 to Fri 5 The Manama Theatre Club is putting on a rendition of John Godber’s multi-award winning cult comedy show ‘Bouncers’ at The British Club. It’s set in an English night club in the 1980s and depicts the gritty world of grimey dance floors and cheesy DJs. It follows the bouncers as they morph from motionless doormen. Amateur kite surfing competition kicks off Thu 4 to Sat 6
For the second year in a row, kitesurfers from across the region are heading out to Amwaj Islands for the Middle East’s only amateur kitesurfing competition – Red Bull’s Kite TheWaj. Sixteen teams of two riders each are competing to reach the top-two grand finale as Ruben Lenten, the international Red Bull athlete and renowned freestyle kitesurfer, oversees and judges the event. They’ll have to impress him over four rounds with their air time, grabs, rotations and their best tricks in the free-ride round. It starts from 8am on Kite Beach each day. Middle East Grand Circuit of photography Thu 4 to Wed 10 The first of its kind in the Arab World, the Middle East Grand Circuit of photography has been rlled out in three stages across three countries – Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. This competition covered five themes including children, travel and nature. This exhibition in Bahrain at The Art Centre features 94 images and it opens on Thursday at 7.30pm.
