Things to do in Bahrain: July 1-7
Ramadaniyat market Fri 3 and Sat 4 The second installation of this year’s Ramadaniyat Bab Market is taking place at the Art Centre and Cultural Hall. Featured vendors are selling local products and homemade food, complemented by interactive installations, live performances, and arts and crafts from 8pm to 1am each day.

Amwaj Island’s creative hub Malja is hosting film screenings throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan each Saturday from 8pm to 10pm. This week head out to catch art flick ‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’ (2010), directed by notorious street artist Banksy. Visit www.maljabahrain.com.
Summer truffles Until Wed 15 Lavish dishes await at The Ritz-Carlton’s steakhouse Plums where Chef Yann Bernard Lejard has assembled a range of culinary creations focusing on the summer black truffle. Choose from this special a la carte menu from 7pm each evening. Call 1758 6499.
Holy Month at the Four Seasons Throughout Ramadan This five-star hotel is putting on its first ever, luxurious Ramadan evening spread in the Al Bahrain Ballroom. The venue has been dressed up with a modern Arabesque theme and includes the main dining area and shisha lounge, which overlooks the Manama skyline. Enjoy delicacies on the buffet from all over the Middle East and Asia, while also sampling the live cooking stations. Monday golfing madness Mon 6, 13, 20 and 27 Coca Cola’s Monday Madness Night Golf series is ongoing at the Royal Golf Club, with a different format each week. Brand new Golden Tulip tent Throughout Ramadan The Golden Tulip hotel is well known for its down-to-earth Ramadan tent but this year they’ve upgraded and built a structure which can accommodate up to 500 people. The Glow – Middle Eastern premiere Throughout Ramadan
In a first for The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, The Glow – Ramadan Lounge by Jaguar, Land Rover has launched. This 13-metre high, dome-shaped pavilion is complemented by large, transparent verandas and a rotating car display. The contemporary décor and fusion cuisine, makes this a must-visit.
