Pawsome auction Sat 17 The BSPCA is taking over Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain’s popular Friday brunch. Kids can get their face painted or visit a balloon man. The silent auction takes place at 1.30pm with plenty of great items to bid for. There is also a lucky dip with exciting prizes to be won. Ladies charity golf tournament Sat 17 This inaugural ladies tournament at the Royal Golf Club aims to raise funds for The Palm Association, a local charity run by women for Bahraini women and children. The event tees off at 12.30pm with a shotfun start and is open to golfers of all abilities. The game is followed by a poolside barbecue, prize presentation, raffles and an auction. It all costs BD15. The Vocalist season two Until Tue 20 Harvesters Pub and Terrace’s annual singing competition is back. Every Tuesday, amateurs are singing their hearts out on stage up until the grand finale on October 20. Performances start from 9.30pm and it’s free entrance. Call 1753 1122.
Kebab festival Thu 15-Nov 15 The renowned Michelin-starred chef Vineet Bhatia is featuring a month-long kebab festival at his Bahrain restaurant Rasoi by Vineet. Experience creations such as the Malabari Jhinga tandoori – jumbo prawns marinated in curry leaf and roasted coconut – or the Dahi kabab akhroti, made of yoghurt and walnuts. Call 1771 3000.
