Cutting-edge artistic works are displayed at this meeting spot for controversial young Bahraini artists. Banyan Al Kanoo has curated the gallery since she opened it back in 1998, and holds discussions and other cultural meetings on the premises.

The gallery exhibits pieces from Bahrain and other countries in the Arab world, as well as organising art courses, and musical and literary events. The centre is affiliated with a number of other galleries in Europe and the Middle East; it’s the basis of Kanoo’s efforts to found the Bahrain International Cultural Art Centre (BICAC), which works with local organisations and educational institutions in order to provide them with training.
