Handsome jazz bar with food and tunes in Adliya

My wife and I went to the Andy Fairweather Low concert at Upstairs Downstairs and both of us had a lovely, well prepared, efficiently served meal prior to watching and listening to a great concert in extremly comfortable surroundings. The pity for us is that The Christians concert is being held on a Friday evening which makes it rather prohibative for people who live and work in Saudi such as ourselves or we would most certainly have been there again.

Thank you for the feedbacks which irrespective of whether positive or negative, all contribute towards improving our food, service and facilities where-ever possible.
We can confirm that we are in the process of upgrading our kitchen brigade and certainly, when we re-open after the Ramadan closure, customers will experience a vast improvement in food presentation and quality.
We are also making a few 'tweeks' to the interiors, and again, that will be completed for all to see in the September Eid.
We're delighted to have signed some fabulous bands, kicking off with Andy Fairweather Low in October 2009. Andy, who has been playing alongside Eric Clapton for the past 10 years has now gone on the road with his own band and will be playing hits from his Amen Corner days, right up to offerings from his latest album release.
We look forward to welcoming our valued clientele, both new and old!

I agree that the entertainment is excellent, whether it be the regular Jazz or the live groups booked to appear there.... but I must say that the quality of the food has gone down considerably & has been doing so for some time. We had a particulary bad meal there this week, where my Husbands was sent back as it was inedible! By the time his replacement meal arrived, our party had already finished theirs, so again, his meal was untouched as my Husband had by then, lost his appetite! We will gladly go to Upstairs Downstairs when bands that we like are playing but we will never eat there again.....until they hire a new chef that is.

Upstairs Downstairs is a pleasure to visit anytime of the day or on any day. Warm colourful decor, non intrusive music playing in the background and at other times something livelier from a well chosen band from outside Bahrain. This coupled with a glass of good wine and reachable priced food encourages many of us residents to spread the word and to frequent again.
