Where has Sarah Michelle Gellar been? Since leaving legions of Buffy fans in the lurch (Joss Whedon hasn’t made the loss any better with damp squibs like Dollhouse) in favour of big-screen dreams, she hasn’t exactly set the box office alight. After what seems like an age out of the spotlight, here she makes the leap from sub-par horror to sub-par romcom. As New York book editor Brett, she has to choose between an immature college boyfriend and an older, notorious playboy (Alec Baldwin).
