Cats and dogs to adopt at Tony the Dogfathers animal rescue centre
Time Out Bahrain staff
Time Out Bahrain has teamed up with Tony the Dogfather’s ARC (Animal Rescue Centre) in the hope that our generous readers can help find loving homes for some of the abandoned animals waiting patiently for their forever families.
If you’d like to meet these boys and girls or any of the other dogs and cats currently keeping Tony and his crew busy, call him on 39 629 889.
Mama When I arrived at Tony’s everybody said how pretty I was but I had a surprise in store. Within two days I’d given birth to a litter of beautiful babies – I was one of those lucky girls who kept my figure, no-one even knew I was expecting, and I snapped straight back into shape – they should’ve called me Posh. My little ones very quickly found happy homes – in the meantime, I also adopted and fed two other abandoned babies who turned up on the doorstep at just a few days old. I was glad to be able to help and I miss my babies now they’ve all gone, surely it must be my turn to find a forever family?
Chuthy Baba I’m a very cute boy, aged about three months, I came to Tony’s when a nice lady found me wandering in the streets and decided she’d better pick me up before I could get into trouble. I used to have a playmate and we were a bit of a dreadful duo, getting into mischief and playing non-stop. But he’s found a home now and I miss him lots, I wish I could find a family all of my own to play with. I’m great at games, well I think so but I am still learning so you’ll have to teach me what you want. And I love cuddles and snuggles. People keep saying I’d be great with kids, but I don’t really know what they are, will you teach me?
Magoo Cuddles, cuddles, cuddles are really my thing, oh and treats, I love treats. As you can see I’m almost pure white and veryhandsome. I’ve only been with Tony for a couple of weeks and, at first, I was a bit shy but I’m coming out of myself now, getting to meet lots of new people and animals and becoming a favourite with all the volunteers. I’ll make an elegant companion and I’m very clever so I’m looking forward to training and learning lots of new things. I like it here but I’m really hoping for a home of my own…will it be yours?
Chocolate Yes, I know Chocolate’s a silly name for a ginger Tom but you see I was found wandering near Le Chocolat so that’s where the name came from. I’m about three months old and had clearly been a pet since I have no fear of humans, that’s why the nice lady who found me took me to Tony’s, she didn’t think I’d make it out there on the mean streets on my own. I’m really a people person, I’ll be in your lap as quick as a flash, you can tell me all about your day, I just love to listen and I’m great company, just give me a chance.
