Despite some reservations, Bahrain’s Grand Prix weekend went without a hitch with thousands flocking to the race track to take in entertainment from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers to drummers, stilt walkers, face painters and all sorts of kids’ activities.
And of course the main event, the big race, saw German Sebastian Vettel victorious with Kimi Raikkonen in second place and Romain Grosjean third.
A roar went up around the track as they passed the finish line with many having met their favourite drivers earlier in the day.
Entertainment carried on into the evening both at the circuit and in town where there were major events at Bushido and Coral Bay to mark the end of the race weekend.
