The animals in need at Tony the Dogfather's Animal Rescue Centre
Time Out Bahrain staff
As the summer gets into its stride the island’s animal rescues are gearing up for the usual influx of unwanted pets and abandoned kittens. Time Out Bahrain has teamed up with Tony the Dogfather’s ARC (Animal Rescue, Rehabilitation and Rehoming Centre) in the hope that some of our generous readers can help find loving, long-term homes for the animals patiently waiting for a forever family.
If you’d like to meet these boys and girls or any of the other dogs and cats keeping Tony and his crew busy, give him a call on (39 629 889).
Gidget Hi there, I’m one of a whole bunch of new baby kittens who’ve ended up at Tony’s because we’ve lost our mums along the way and were just too little to get by on our own. The others were too quick for the camera lady but, as you can see, if I’ve got a hand to hold onto, I’m very happy to take all the loving and cuddling you can throw at me. Think I might be your ideal cuddle partner.
Top Cat Otherwise known as TC, I’m a fairly quiet boy…until someone messes with my tyre. I’m about a year old and have been at Tony’s most of my life, I was one of last summer’s abandonments and it’s taking a bit of a while for to find my forever family but I’m sure there’s someone out there just waiting for the benefit of all my lovin’. Could it be you?
Bagpuss Well no-one said I had to sleep in the crate now did they? I’m a gentle, slightly reticent girl who, as you can see, likes nothing better than to find a cool, comfy place to settle down for a nap. Alright, it might look a bit odd but the top of this crate’s quite airy you know but I’d be more than happy to have my very own bed. When I’m not sleeping, I’m more than happy to indulge in all the games you humans love so much, or I could just sway the crate for a lap and curl up with you.
Black Jack Hey there, don’t confuse me with the other Jack, he’s a real old man whose family left him behind. I, on the other hand, haven’t had a family yet but my pals here tell me it’s a great thing. Walks and games, treats and cuddles, oh it sounds right up my street. I’m about two months now and am just about to have my second lot of vaccinations which means I’ll be ready for a new home – but you’d better be quick, I’m made great friends with the goat and donkey and I might not want to leave.
