The Headline Acts Eminem To close the F1, Eminem will be gracing us with his presence this year. One of the most popular artists in the world, selling more than 90 million albums worldwide and being recognised as the best-selling artist of the 2000’s, the multi-talented star has achieved success as a rapper, record producer, songwriter and actor. His last album, Recovery, was the best-selling album of the year in 2010 and became his tenth album to reach Number 1 on the Billboard charts. Kylie Minogue We spotted Kylie’s sister, Dannii Minogue walking around at the F1 last year now we will get to see everyone’s favourite pop princess herself perform live in Abu Dhabi. The Grammy Award-winning Australian pop superstar will perform on the first night of the Yasalam after-race concerts. Kylie has sold more than 68 million records in a career spanning 25 years and more than 50 singles, from her first hit, a cover of ‘Locomotion’ in 1987, through to classics such as ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ and ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’. As part of her 25th anniversary celebrations, Kylie is hitting the shores of Abu Dhabi for the very first time. Du Arena, Friday November 2.
Nickelback Canadian rockers Nickelback will be playing on the second night of F1. They’ve sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and since their 2001 breakthrough hit song ‘How You Remind Me,’ they’ve sold out massive shows all over the world and won an armful of prestigious accolades including three American Music Awards, a People’s Choice Award and five Grammy Award nominations. In 2009, Billboard Magazine also named Nickelback Top Group of the Decade. Du Arena, Saturday November 3.

November 1 Mel C The multi-talented Melanie C has enjoyed an illustrious musical career, both as one fifth of the iconic Spice Girls and as a pioneering solo artist. A truly worldwide phenomenon, the Spice Girls remain one of the most commercially successful acts in recent history and one of the most memorable girl bands of all time.
Desert Heat Desert Heat have released three official music videos to date, the latest being ‘CruiZin’, which features the up and coming R&B artist, Tiny, who along with Desert Heat, is managed by Kilma Studios in Dubai.
Missy Elliot A five-time Grammy Award winner with record sales of over 7 million in the United States, Elliot is the only female rapper to have six albums certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America including one double platinum for her 2002 album Under Construction. November 2 Juliana Down Talented performers Juliana Down are a multinational rock band based in Dubai. The band is the first truly international sounding act to come out of the region and is currently on the verge of an international breakthrough. They have opened for a number of bands including Muse, Justin Timberlake, Guns N’ Roses and Maroon 5.
Maya Diab (Deep breath) Maya is an entertainer, actress, music artist, film and TV personality, fashion icon, entrepreneur, humanitarian and is often called one of the most powerful and celebrated celebrities in entertainment in the Middle East. Maya recently released her first solo single and video clip ‘Shaklak’– a record breaking epic seven minute long video clip.
CeeLo Green The five-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter, television personality, producer, actor and pop culture icon will perform this year at Beats on the Beach. He received five 2011 Grammy nominations for his worldwide hit ‘Forget You’ winning the category for Best Urban/Alternative Performance. Skybar If you want to party over the Grand Prix weekend then we suggest heading to Skybar on Yas Island. There’s a great line up of different international performers this year and it’s a great way to have a fun night out with friends. Superstars Missy Elliott and Melanie C will headline the opening night on Thursday, followed by an electrifying mix of talent across the remaining nights including CeeLo Green and Eve on Friday and then Travie McCoy and Outasight on Saturday followed by Lupe Fiasco and Eva Simons closing the event on Sunday. Allure by Cipriani This prestigious Yas Island club will host four days of events to accompany the F1. On Thursday November 1, 14 of the country’s top DJs (including DJ Bliss, Dany Neville, and Greg Stainer) compete in the UAE DJ Battle. On Friday 2, headline DJ Boy George, Guru Project’s Simon Kaye and electronic DJ Marc Vedo perform in ‘Sticky Boutique’ – a Moulin Rouge and burlesque-themed event, with an Italian troupe providing dance and acrobatics. On Saturday 3, DJ Behrouz and Neverdogs perform, while the Ice and Diamonds party on Sunday 4 features the likes of DJ Raxon and Patrik Carrera. Prices and times TBC.
