A record $3bn worth of deals was announced at the Bahrain International Airshow which took place over the weekend with VIP guests in attendance from around the Gulf and across the world, including the UK’s Prince Andrew who flew in to promote GREAT British Week currently taking place on the island.
On the public side there were several hours of flying displays each day with impressive feats of airmanship from the Saudi Hawks, the Russian Knits, the Royal Jordanian Falcons and more as well as parachuting by the Red Devils.
Families also found loads on entertainment including a space centre, Aerodium – in which you can skydive without leaving the ground – and arts, crafts and heritage stalls.
