Al Dana Beach Ramadan Tent The Novotel Al Dana team are setting up a beautiful tent on the beach complete with live Arabic music and a full iftar and ghabga buffet for BD10 net between sunset and 8pm or BD14 net from 9pm to 2am. Al Khayma Tent at Ritz-Carlton A traditional Bahraini tent reflecting 1001 nights at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa is up throughout the entire Holy Month offering a sumptuous ghabga buffet and daily entertainment by an Arabic singer. Al Noor Tent at Elite Resort and Spa The Elite Resort and Spa is inviting its guests to experience the authentic Ramadan atmosphere in their Bahraini inspired tent where they’re offering traditional iftar and ghabga buffets to a backdrop of beautiful views. The iftar buffet features international favourites including Bahraini dishes like hareesa and madhrooba, alongside a wide selection of salads, mezzes and even 15 types of dates and dried fruits. Al Thurraya at InterContinental Regency This lavish Ramadan tent at InterContinental Regency Bahrain Hotel is hosting a traditional get-together for iftar from sunset to 8pm for BD14++ and a ghabga later in the evening from 9pm to 2am for BD16++. Aroma The popular Seef Mall-based shisha café is hosting a daily iftar buffet with a wide spread of Middle Eastern favourites and traditional Ramadan dishes from sunset to 9pm for BD8++ per person. Awali Ballroom at Sheraton The Sheraton Bahrain Hotel’s ballroom is decked out to provide an authentic Ramadan atmosphere. Bushra at Bushido Bushra, which was named Caterer’s ‘Top 10 Iftars in the Middle East 2013’, returns to Bushido for the third year in a row. Expect a modern Arabian experience and gourmet cuisine that has been conceived by Bahraini Chef Noor Murad. On the menu are traditional dishes with a modern twist, alongside teppanyaki kitchens which are serving a generous selection of Japanese cuisine. Head along for iftar from sunset until 8pm for BD15++ on weekdays or BD17++ on weekends (inclusive of all drinks), and ghabga from 9pm until 1am for BD13++ on weekdays or BD15++ on weekends (inclusive of Arabic drinks). Coral Bay Enjoy Ramadan by the sea at the well-known Lebanese restaurant in Coral Bay, Al Rayes, and head over for iftar and ghabga nights. The iftar buffet is served at sunset while the ghabga runs from 9pm to 2am for BD13++ on weekdays (Sun-Wed for iftar or Sat-Wed for ghabga) or BD15++ on weekends (Thu-Sat for iftar or Thu-Fri for ghabga). Figs & Olives at The Domain Located on level 16 of The Domain Bahrain is this casual Italian-Lebanese eatery that’s hosting both iftar and ghabga events this Ramadan. From sunset until 8pm, a traditional iftar buffet is served with classic Ramadan dishes, drinks and desserts on the menu for BD14++ per person. Later on, from 8pm until 2am, a nightly ghabga atmosphere offers a relaxing spot to while away the evening hours. You can choose from a special a la carte menu and prices range from BD7 to BD15. Gulf Hotel To kick start the evening’s feast, The Gulf Hotel is hosting an iftar buffet at Al Waha Restaurant and Al Andalus Lobby Lounge for a set price of BD16++ from sunset. This is followed by a traditional Bahraini ghabga in their Ramadan tent, Khaimat Al Khaleej, which offers a touch of Arabian hospitality alongside live Oriental music, classic food and beverages, the opportunity to win prizes and live broadcasting of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. On weekdays it runs from 9pm to 2am for BD15++ per person, while on weekends it’s on from 9pm to 3am for BD17++. Houseboat Restaurant Find iftar and ghabga options at both Houseboat branches. The menu features dishes from the Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Indian cuisines. Khayma Al Seef at Ramee Grand The Ramee Grand Hotel and Spa has created a special Ramadan tent that is plush yet contemporary. Indulge in a buffet with a variety of Middle Eastern specialties and a selection of beverages to a backdrop of live Arabic music. La Mosaique Restaurant at Crowne Plaza This plush all-day dining restaurant that specialises in international cuisine is offering a daily iftar buffet for BD11.95++ from 4pm to 8pm. PAUL Bakery & Restaurant The French bakery and patisserie is offering a special iftar menu from sunset daily through Ramadan. Break your fast with jallab (a popular Middle Eastern drink) before choosing from a selection of starters, mains and desserts. Passion Experience a Ramadan buffet featuring seven different specialist kitchens, on offer alongside an a la carte menu as well as special teas served from their very own tea bar. Ranin at Trader Vic’s For the first time ever, Trader Vic’s Restaurant is rolling out a special ethnic Ramadan concept known as Ranin. The restaurant has been transformed and is offering traditional foods from dates to shawarma, ouzi to mixed grills, alongside live cooking stations. A live Arabic band is performing nightly while families gather to play games. At the same time, football fans can head outside or to the lounge to watch the World Cup matches on the giant TV screens.
