You’ll run out of superlatives when you are whisked inside this magnificent resort, and will most likely find yourself saying ‘wow’ a lot. The 78-villa property holds the title of being the only all-villa private pool resort in the Middle East; it also houses the largest spa in the region (10,000 sq m), the world’s first hydrothermal garden hammam and the biggest hammam to be built in modern times.

All the travel agents love to rave about this hotel. Why is this? Well my assumption is that they make good money by promoting it from the follow up bookings and the hotel are savvy enough to know to pamper them when they visit.
The reality for guests is just so so different!
The facilities and villas are fantasic I fully agree and cannot fault them.
However this place is five star and very expensive and for me that requires impeccable service throughout the stay and in all ways, this is not the case.
The service through the whole stay was simply terrible. Arrogant and interested reception staff, poor restaurant service, poor and unreliable room and buggy services. Raise this with the management as you may well have to and the same arrogance is experienced and you understand the heart of the hotels issues.
The managers need to get involved, interact with their customers, take their noses out of the air and get things sorted. They seem to be sitting on a very comfortable job.

No way I would return. While the facilities are great the lack of atmosphere and dreadful service ruins the experience and fails to justify the serious money you will hand over.

It was the best choice to stay at Al Areen with all the great services and delicious buffet at Rimal Restaurant.
