Sony Sony has now launched its newest hand-held digital video recorder in the Middle East – the Handycam HDR-XR520. This high-definition camcorder allows you to record up to 101 hours of footage on its 240GB hard drive. The high resolution means that even your night scenes are clear, low-noise images. The Handycam HDR-XR520 is available at all major retail consumer electronic stores.
Dunhill The luxury brand’s autumn/winter range is now available, as signified by this lavish photo shoot featuring Jude Law – the fourth year running the star has represented the line. Shot at the iconic Shepperton Studios in the UK, Law is shown directing cast and crew, checking scripts, looking thoughtful, and getting ready to attend a black tie event, accompanied by items such as crocodile skin holdalls and camdeboo mohair blazers. See the new range in stores. Dunhill is available from the store at Bahrain City Centre.
Bobbi Brown Bobbi Brown’s new Nude Collection make-up aims to make your natural colours dazzle. There’s an eye palette, shimmer brick, creamy lip colours and an ink gel eyeliner which, together, create a perfect day-to-night look for every skin tone. Bobbi Brown Nude Collection ranges from BD10.2-32 and is available from the store at Bahrain City Centre.
Adidas The beginning of the football season in Europe is always a bitter-sweet time. Bitter, because that brief moment when the vast majority of the male population pauses from its soccer diet is now over; sweet, because we get to laugh at the horrendous sums they’ll pay for a new football strip.
Men who are prepared to fork out BD30 for a T-shirt covered in ads, of course, should probably learn to avoid criticising their female counterparts’ taste in new clothes. Still, there are football strips and there are football strips – if you catch our drift.
Adidas, for example, has just launched the newest kits for some of Europe’s top clubs – Chelsea and Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and AC Milan – and, thankfully, they don’t look half-bad. Each kit features ClimaCool technology, designed to keep our favourite players from overheating on the pitch, while maintaining peak performance. For the watching public, this same technology will help to keep those unsightly sweat-patches from appearing when the game goes into extra time (something Chelsea and Barcelona fans will know all about).
Adidas’s footie-fest doesn’t end there, however. The firm’s new SprintSkin F50i football boots, sported by Emmanuel Adebayor, Salomon Kalou and Jermaine Defoe, are also released. Made from a synthetic material that is supple and waterproof, they apparently form a ‘second skin’, allowing players to have closer contact with the ball. Cool! Adidas ClimaCool shirts are available from Adidas stores across Bahrain now, for BD29.5. The SprintSkin F50i boots in black, white and cyan cost BD89.5. Available from Adidas Sport Performance and sports stores in malls across Bahrain.
