All the inside info on Bahrain’s biggest festival of fashion
Time Out Bahrain staff
Hot on the heels of the Bahrain City Centre Fall Fashion Festival and the glittering fashion show launch of the new Autumn/Winter collection at Saks Fifth Avenue comes the much anticipated three-day Bahrain Fashion Week 2010, topping off a stylish autumn here in the kingdom. Celebrating its third year, it is fast becoming an attraction for regional and global designers and fashionistas alike.
The 2009 season was a resounding success, showcasing over 25 designers, jewellers and brand names from such diverse origins as the Netherlands, the UK, India, Ukraine, Pakistan and, of course, Bahrain. The 2010 show promises to build on this success and will feature several fashion shows from established and upcoming designers and fashion houses. An exciting addition to this year’s event is the Fashion and Lifestyle Show, a mini-expo aimed at promoting new and aspiring designers of fashion, accessories, beauty products, handicrafts and the like. Continuing this newly-established tradition is the Emerging Talent section, a fashion show to be held on the final day when fashion students are given an invaluable opportunity to show off their designs.
