SaudiStock II Part two of this battle of the bands-style contest in which musicians from Saudi Aramco make the trip across the Causeway to strut their stuff in a play-off at Fiddler’s on Thursday night with the winner entertaining the crowd at the Dip brunch on Friday. Blossom F1 event The second Blossom charity event kicks of on Thursday with lots of great fun activities for kids and adults in support of the coming Grand Prix including a racing shop and a visit from Speedy the F1 character. There’ll also be a bazaar for SMEs, a kids’ zone with games and various amusements, live entertainment, musical performances and, for the first time, thrill boat rides in the lagoon. All at sea This is the 36th charity raft race organised by the Rotary Club of Salmaniya in which, surprise, surprise, teams battle it out for supremacy on craft which appear to be constructed from oil drums – not the easiest task. Last year 26 teams took part and the organisers are hoping for even more this year with the target of raising more than BD30,000 to fight sickle cell disease.
