A Tale of Two Cities
An event put on by the Ministry of Culture as part of Ta2 el Chabab, a month-long initiative aimed at getting the country’s young people interested in culture and literature, this evening shifts between Barcelona and various Arabian cities examining the affects of changes in the urban fabric on our neighbourhoods and lives in discussions with Spanish architect Enric Ruiz-Geli and Egyptian architect Waleed Shaalan. In an informal setting the two architects will ponder, with the audience, how spaces can be revived looking at interaction in the cities and drawing parallels from their tales with Manama and Muharraq.
