BSPCA Dog Walk
Get the leash out and head out to the BSPCA’s new premises at Askar for the annual fundraising dog walk. Don’t have a dog? No problem, book out one of the centre’s homeless canines for a great day out. There’s a 2km course for kids and oldies (dogs and/or owners) and 4km for others. Registration is BD10 and here’s hoping the event raises lots of cash besides. There’ll also be a barbecue, so you might even get a doggy bag. Fri, March 15. Call (17 591 231).
15 Magical Moments
Your monthly chance to sample a great selection of award-winning eatery Maki’s mouthwatering Japanese cuisine. They come up with 15 taster dishes with complimentary grape for BD15. We’ve tried this and, trust us, it’s good. Tue, March 19, Maki, Moda Mall. Call (17 522 733).
Mother’s Day (Bahrain) If you managed to miss the earlier one, or if your mum’s Bahraini, today’s the day to break out the flowers and choccies. Lots of restaurants will be having special mums and families deals so call your favourite eatery to check if you fancy treating mum to a meal she doesn’t have to cook. Thu, March 21, various venues
