Take the chance to stock up on fresh, locally-grown produce at the Bahrain Farmers’ Market where you’ll find lots of local growers selling their wares at far below supermarket prices. Flowers, and a major flower show, plants, fruit, veggies, a kids’ gardening section and loads more will be on display at the Bahrain International Garden Show. Now in its tenth year, the show offers advice on growing produce in Bahrain’s desert climate, ways to use and conserve water, landscaping, commercial growing and all sorts of other stuff for the would-be green fingered. Kids’ sports camp The famous Bahrain RFC Kids’ Sports Camp is back over half term. Open to girls and boys, members and non-members aged six to 15, it features a host of sports and activities such as football, rugby, rounders, dodgeball, swimming and treasure hunts.
