RBS Six Nations It’s the culmination of several weeks of top notch rugby featuring England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France and Italy. Holi The Indian Hindu festival of Holi is also known as the Festival of Colours or the Festival of Love and it signifies the triumph of good over evil. Basically it’s a time for a brilliant party where everyone covers each other with different coloured powders and water and has loads of fun. The festival actually falls on March 17 but, since that’s a weekday, the big party’s on Friday. Tickets from BD10 Friday, March 21, Lost Paradise of Dilmun. Call (33 283 939).
Say ‘thanks’ to mum Here in Bahrain we get to celebrate Mother’s Day twice. Today is Bahraini Mothers’ Day, a day for spending time with family and doing something extra nice for your mum. There are likely to be lots of special brunches on so check what’s happening at your favourite venue. If you’re from the UK Mothers’ Day is at the end of the month and if you’re from the USA, much of Europe or Down Under then you get to say thanks again in May. Friday, March 21.
