Garden show Today’s the last chance to catch the annual big garden event where you’ll find all sorts of garden goodies, plants, landscaping and info on how to grow your own in our desert climate. Amwaj Marina Market It’s the second to last one of the year so take the chance to head down to Amwaj Marina and check out the artsy bits and pieces, various bargains, good food and sometimes entertainment. Saturday, March 1, Amwaj Marina.
Charity dog show Get out the leash and take Fido to Amwaj Marina for a fun dog show raising cash for Tony the Dogfather’s Animal Rescue, Rehabilitation and Rehoming Centre. There’ll be a doggy fashion show, an obedience display, lots of fun classes as well as kids’ entertainment and food and drinks. Entry’s BD2 each and BD1 per dog per class. Inter-Gulf Netball Championships Returning after a four-year absence the best netball teams from the across the Gulf descend on the rugby club this weekend to battle it out for the title of Inter-Gulf Champions. Expect some fast and furious play and an all-round good atmosphere should you go along to support. Plus we hear there’s going to be live entertainment from local expat band Diraz Diraz on the Saturday so go along and join in the fun. Friday & Saturday, March 7 & 8, Bahrain Rugby Football Club.
