Bahrain National Day, tea with Santa and more things to do this week

Marking the 43rd National Day Tue 16 and Wed 17 All throughout the country expect plenty of ongoing festivities to mark Bahrain’s 43rd National Day celebrations. The two-day public holiday is set to see a smattering of patriotic events going on throughout the country and the roads have been decked out too.
Writing the self, writing others Until Wed 17 This is your last chance to catch the solo photography exhibition by Moroccan artist Lalla Essaydi being held at the Bahrain National Museum until December 17. Teddy bear afternoon tea Thu 18 Your kids are invited to a special teddy bear’s afternoon tea in the Ritz-Carlton’s Boulevard Lounge where they can donate their old cuddly toys for charity while enjoying a spread designed for little ones. It’s BD10++ per child from 3pm to 5pm. Call 1758 6499.
Early festive brunch Fri 19 A sumptuous festive brunch is being presented at the Alfanar venue in Diplomat Radisson Blu from noon to 4pm to celebrate the lead up to Christmas Day. Expect traditional trimmings and festive favourites, as well as a live performance by resident band the Black Notes. It’s BD25 net per person or half price for kids aged six to 13.
