Kids of the future A brand new series of fun but educational science workshops is running throughout the summer at various locations. The Futurist do-it-yourself programme aims to encourage future generations of young scientists through a range of enjoyable hands-on activities for ages eight to 11 and 12 to 15. Gergaoun children’s day On the 14th day of Ramadan a special celebration for children is held known in Bahrain as Gergaoun. On this night, kids wear traditional dress and go around their residential areas knocking on doors with an empty bag which soon gets filled with sweets, treats and even money courtesy of their neighbours.
