New five-star luxury properties to open in Bahrain
C Hotel and ART Rotana have announced their plans for the island
Bahrain’s tourism industry is set to grow this year as two hospitality brands have announced plans to open new luxury hotels here.
Firstly, in as early as October this year, the country’s first floating hotel is set to open its doors. C-Hotel, which will be docked at Coral Bay along Al Fateh Corniche, is a 16-room five-star property costing USD5 million. The Italian-designed project by Akram Miknas’ Seven Leisure Group will be a boutique hotel built on the base and hull of an old (now-stationery) house boat. Guests will also have access to the facilities at Coral Bay.
Meawhile, on Amwaj Islands, ART Rotana is slated to open by the end of this year. The 311-room luxury property will play host to eight new food and beverage outlets (including an all-day dining restaurant, a steakhouse, beach restaurant, a bar, an Italian venue, a lobby lounge and a patisserie), a state-of-the-art leisure and wellness club with three swimming pools, a kid’s waterpark and other recreational facilities.
Mr Saud Abdulaziz Kanoo, chairman of Ossis Property Developers BSC, Rotana’s partners in Bahrain, commented on the opening: ‘Every little detail of ART Rotana architecture and interior design have been taken care of and we have involved the best firms and consultants to fulfil our vision of creating a superb landmark.’
He adds, ‘[General manager Joe Batshoun] is leading a team of hotel professionals who are working hard to ensure all areas of the opening are perfected and ready to open on time in Q4 of this year.’
