After an absence of four years, Bahrain’s Palm Association rolls out The Great Gatsby ball
A ‘roaring twenties extravaganza’ is being held on September 25, 2014 at The Ritz Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa. Everything from the décor (complete with vintage cars) to the music to all the elegant Charleston dresses and dashing Jay Gatsby suits will be reminiscent of the period.
The annual charity ball, which has been on hiatus for the past four years, is being held this year to raise much-needed funds to ensure the continuation of The Palm Association projects. Overall, the group of volunteers needs BD100,000 ever year to continue funding the Feed-A-Family, Project Rebuild and Education programmes. ‘We would like to raise between BD30,000-40,000 from the ball through sponsorship, auctions, tickets, prizes etc,’ says Maria Sorger, corporate communications officer at The Palm Association. ‘Our committee is working really hard to obtain sponsorship and we hope that major companies in Bahrain will step forward by donating whatever they can.’
She adds, ‘In return, we can promise an unforgettable evening of fun, glitz and glamour!’
Tickets for the night cost BD50 and the party starts from 7.30pm.
