1 Klub 360 It’s been a long time coming but January 12 finally sees the opening of the much-anticipated Klub 360 at the Elite Crystal in Juffair and we can’t wait to see if it lives up to the hype.
Boasting a huge video wall with stunning visual effects, LED bubble wall and, of course, a VIP area, the new venue is aimed at a ‘sophisticated, discerning customer who wants to relax, socialise and party in a stunning, luxurious and captivating environment’.
Resident music maestro is DJ Bren from the UK who’s widely considered to be among the hottest talents the VJ (video DJ) industry has to offer.
He’s played across the south of England and in Europe, from sun-soaked gigs on the coast of Croatia to events such as the Sarajevo Festival.
With more than 10 years on the decks, his music is a fusion of international hits as well as edgy remixes with deeper sets including the best in underground dance music from electro, progressive house and funk to tribal and all that’s ‘hot mixed to perfection’. www.klub360.com.
2 Housesexy Bahrain debut date for Scott Langley of Housexy at JJ’s Music Hall so make sure you’ve recovered from the New Year celebrations in time to catch what promises to be a classic session.
Since 2005 the Ministry of Sound’s most glamorous and funky brand ‘Housexy’ has been leading the way in the world of sassy and sophisticated house music and, with more than five years of bringing party-hard clubbers top-selling compilations together with spectacular worldwide events, Housexy shows no signs of slowing down!
Nothing says Housexy like the resident DJs who take the brand’s instantly recognisable mix of hot parties and cool vibes all over the world.
Scott Langley, one of the official Ministry of Sound World Tours resident DJs, has 20 years of DJing experience under his belt and is a DJ who is going places. Having played in 35-plus countries worldwide and a dab hand in the studio too with 100 productions signed to more than 40 labels, he is a man who knows his music.
In the UK alone, he has played numerous gigs across the country, at 30 major clubs in London and at one point managed to hold down a staggering 20 residencies. This sort of dedication makes him a phenomenal talent with the gift of being able to adapt to new surroundings and whatever challenges are thrown his way. His Bahrain debut looks like being a heckuva party. Housesexy, JJ’s Music Hall, January 26, 8pm-late, BD5 for men, ladies free including selected beverages. Their single Kylie, from the debut album French Kiss with Kylie, made a significant impression in several European charts and also got the band known in North America on the Hot Dance Singles list.
The modestly named King of Disco was released in 2007 and 2009’s Fără lacrimi saw the band charting as far afield as Brazil and closer to home in the UAE.
They’ll be performing an inspiring set, including latest offerings Lovestoned and My Passion, which is sure to get Bushido’s party crowd moving and gain the guys new fans.
But it’s not a complete escape from the DJs. Later in the evening, back by popular demand, DJ Kaan Gokman returns to the Bushido decks for his third visit.
Originally from Turkey, Kaan is known as a radio producer and director and he’s been involved in a wide variety of projects including collaborations with the internationally acclaimed dance project ‘Club Harem’ which has enjoyed success in more than 50 countries.
He’ll be playing into the early hours to keep the clubbers happy.
The evening kicks off with resident DJ Dara Singh and there’s a fire show promised for 10.30pm, a good enough reason to get there early if you like that sort of thing. Akcent, DJ Kaan, Bushido, January 26, 9pm-late. BD15 (17583555).
