Shifting Gears Location:Coral Bay The 9th annual Shifting Gears returns to Karma Lounge for a night of cutting-edge music with DJ maDJam (Ahmad Ajam) from Beirut, spinning a unique blend of house and techno.
Renowned for three-way mixing, DJ maDJam has played the biggest club nights in Beirut along with Peppermint Experience in Dubai, the Red Bull Air Race, X Fighters and Creamfields, Abu Dhabi.
He’s also played warm-up and follow-up sets with some of the world’s biggest DJs including Sasha, John Digweed, The Prodigy, David Guetta and Tiesto.
His philosophy: “It’s all about the crowd and their response to the music whatever it is, as long as they’re up for it, then so am I”

Friday April 20
DJ Tamara Sky Location:Klub 360, Elite Crystal Hotel Since leaving her native Puerto Rico, DJ Tamara Sky has become a regular globe-trotter playing at events such as Donald Trump’s birthday party, after parties for J-Lo and Marc Anthony and Depeche Mode and club nights with the likes of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.
She was Miami New Times Best DJ of 2010 and has also opened for the great Tiesto so, Bahrain, we’re going to be in good company at Klub 360’s Grand Prix weekend opening event at the island’s newest nightspot.
Since its opening in January, Klub 360’s become a bit of a fave with the island’s party people, so this may well be the one to watch.

Summer Vibes Location:Coral Bay Apparently it’s what we’ve all been asking for, an all day and night beach party (well at least until 2am) featuring an incredible list of DJs.
Punchline Media, the people that brought us Let Love Rule, Bahrain’s first ever dance party at the Capital Club, are bringing in hip hop legends Jazzy Jeff and Tony Touch, house stars Junior Jack, Kid Creme and Kid Massive plus the region’s finest DJ Outlaw and DJ Crow.

Saturday April 21
The Grand Prix Prestige Party Location:Dragon Hotel Step away from the crowds and into the lap of luxury with a VIP, Invite-only sunset soiree with international entertainment and cool company.

Sunday April 22
Hed Kandi Location:Coral Bay The FTV party’s moved up the road but Coral Bay and Likwid Productions are still putting on their official after party, as they have for the last seven F1s, with Hed Kandi featuring DJ John Jones.
Launched in 1999, Hed Kandi has evolved from humble beginnings as a compilation brand into the global phenomenon it is today.
It’s clubbing for grown-ups with a sense of humour which as seen Hed Kandi putting on some of the most lavishly-produced events on the UK nightlife scene..
Heavily influenced by the likes of Masters at Work, Mark Knight, David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Mood II Swing and X-Press II, DJ John came to link up with Hed Kandi in late 2000 and has toured the world with the brand giving people ‘up-front, in your face, quality house music’.
And he’ll be joined by the Hed Kandi girls, bringing the requisite glamour to the mix.

Fashion TV after-race party Location:Bushido Fashion TV is back in Bahrain for its infamous after-race party which has moved to Bushido following two hugely successful events including the FTV White Party at Christmas.
With celebs and fashionistas expected to pour into the island for the big race weekend and Bushido’s reputation for putting on mega-nights, this will be a great way to end the F1 weekend with the venue transformed into a giant catwalk.
Music will be coming from star DJ Poet Name Life, who works with the Black Eyed Peas, and FTV performers JP, George and Simone Cooper with the fabulous FTV dancers.
Armchair fans Location:Shift 7, Elite Resort & Spa If you want to soak up the atmosphere but haven’t got a ticket, catch all the racing action at Shift 7 the island’s favourite racing-themed bar where they’ll be airing the entire race, passing round complimentary snacks and you can even try a Grand Prix themed cocktail – we’re thinking maybe black and white like the chequered flag?
Perched majestically on the top of the resort this bar has great views and, with lots of authentic racing memorabilia and trappings from helmets to gloves and pictures, you could almost feel that you’re at the track – in fact it’s the perfect pit stop.
They’ll also be putting on their own after-race party with resident spinner DJ Denzel so, once you’re settled, you don’t even have to leave to carry on with the entertainment. No tickets required.
