Last month we told you about the workshops, this month it’s all about the performances as the DJs producers and artists taking part in the conference take the island by storm over the first weekend of the month.

Electric House: Red Bull Music Academy @ Mezzaluna Over the past 15 years, the Red Bull Music Academy has established itself as a unique institution in music, regularly unearthing outstanding new talent and curating unique signature events. It builds on this reputation by hosting academy-curated events in the world’s best clubs.
For the Bahrain Music Conference, Red Bull Music Academy will be taking over Mezzaluna for one night of finely selected DJs and producers featuring And.id (Mobilee Records), Maher Daniel (Leftroom) and Amir Javasoul.
Electric House: Analog Room DJs @ Sky Bar, Diva Hotel The Analog Room DJs (Dubai) bringing their underground house and techno beats to SkyBar. Salar Ansari, Mehdi Ansari and Nasrawi will be spinning a selection of deep beats against the backdrop of Manama’s stunning skyline.
Rock Brigade @ Block 338 The restaurant’s outdoor garden will once again be showcasing Bahrain’s most talented local musicians. Fridays’s jam session will feature local bands Silverlake, The Legendz, Mary, Mo & Iba, To Beloved and Atom. This night will cover a diverse range of musical genres including jazz, blues, folk, French, Basque, rock and reggae.
Rappers Delight @ Coral Bay Bahrain residents, Chitronix Get’em (Chicago) and DJ Swing, will be demonstrating the art of turntablism, as they flex their skills on the wheels of steel. Expect a large dose of old school hip-hop and urban beats as these two decknicians tear it up by the beach. And DJ Trife will be showing some magic plus local artists Attalla, May Alqasim and Hamad ‘Mystro’ Fardan who will represent the local R&B and hip-hop scene. There’ll be a special appearance by Bahraini beatboxers Saylo and BBD who will be showcase their popping, locking and breaking skills..
Electric House @ The Domain Taking place in The Domain Bahrain’s glamorous and recently launched Txoko Lounge, Tech House Heroes will feature DJ Pooja B (UAE). Pooja will be flying in to throw down one of her trademark house and techno sets. Support on the night will be provided by local DJs Uniz Kazz, Damian D’Costa (Casa D’Costa), Wael and Ahmed Al Sharif.

The K-Factor continues Every Thursday night the demonic judges are whittling down the hopefuls in the race to become winner of this year’s K-Factor karaoke competition. Anna Sings Ella Earth & Edith Trained opera singer Anna Thompson Hall turns her hand, or rather her voice, to jazz for a Gatsby-themed night featuring songs from the girlie greats of yesteryear in aid of Tony the Dogfather’s Animal Rescue, Rehabilitation and Rehoming Centre. Celtic Picnic A music Festival on the Beach brought to you by the Bahrain Irish Society. Europe’s most authentic U2 tribute band are back by popular demand and will be the headline act at the first ever Celtic Picnic here in Bahrain. The most popular band on the island, The Noise, will be in to rock the house. The next big thing to hit the music scene and the masters of glam rock Hot Laser will be strutting their stuff. The beautiful and talented Tinkerbelles will add a touch of class to the event and DJ Dave Hayes will add some chilled out classics early in the day and then take us into the small wee hours of Saturday morning. A Fun day out for all the Family with full access to the pool and beach facilities of the Coral Bay Beach Club. Barbecues and plenty of food stations and great drinks deals to suit all the family. Chuckle Club with a difference The month’s Chuckle Club sees the welcome return of the Faulty Towers Dining Experience - go to dinner and meet a bunch of actors who recreate the mania of the 70s’ television series feature Basil and Sybil Fawlty and the much-loved Manuel.
Prepare to be shouted at and look out for the teeth!
