Sonique live Mega DJ and onetime S-Express voice Sonique comes to the island for a one-off show this month courtesy of Eventions. Probably best known for her UK chart topper ‘It Feels So Good’ London-born Sonique is a talented vocalist and writer who also happens to mix some rather awesome dance tracks. She was supposed to visit the island a few years back but her appearance was cancelled, so let’s hope she makes it this time round for what promises to be an excellent night.

Chuckle Club This month’s Chuckle Club brings another bunch of sterling talents to the island in the shape comedian, actor and writer Alistair Barrie, Irishman Andrew Ryan, who’s been called one of the most exciting emerging talents in recent years, and Victoria Wood and Mrs Merton Hybrid, Barbara Nice.
Barrie has been performing all over the world for nearly an entire century (this one). including the world’s highest gig on a mountain in France and on a boat in the middle of the North Sea.
Ryan is much in demand at some of the biggest clubs in Ireland annd the UK and Mrs Barbara Nice is a UK circuit regular who has performed sell-out shows at the Edinburgh fringe with her gentle banter on everyday things which always has the audience cracking up. Gatsby Night In case you missed the highly successful Gatsby-themed night which raised some much-needed cash for Tony the Dogfather’s rescue centre, it’s back by popular demand with Anna Thompson-Hall of the Manama Singers taking to the stage to perform the songs of Ella Fitzgerald, Eartha Kitt and Edith Piaff, ably accompanied by Gavin Stewart on piano.
