Chuckle Club January’s comedy offering from Punchline features Adam Acaster - low-key whimsy and trivia, Silky - the mastermind behind the Kill For A Seat comedy clubs in the UK, and Adam Bloom - a former Time Out best stand-up winner. We trust our international colleagues so this should be a good night. Arthaus II Yep, that’s right, a second night from the Arthaus guys. This one’s a bit of a celebration as it’s Sami’s birthday and the venue might be Oliveto but it’s still to be decided. Thursday, January 30. Further details TBC.
Funny Bone The first of the year’s new initiatives from the reborn Up N Down featuring live stand-up comedy. On stage will be Ian Cognito, described as a ‘blazing talent’ by Time Out London, Addy Van Der Borgh, Ivo Graham, who Time Out calls ‘one of the best young comedians around, and Steven Davidson, who’s on a return trip to the island. Pink Friday The monthly special ladies’ night returns to Bushido with drinks for the girls and a chance to win a gift from Emporio Armania. Friday, January 31, Bushido (17 583 555). Rumour We hear a rumour that the guys at Boho Baha may be coming up with something rather special this month, or at least in the very near future. We can’t telly you any more at the moment but, since they’re the people behind Farm Fest and the Boho Baha nights in town, we reckon this is definitely one to watch, check them out on Facebook.
