Tuesday & Wednesday, April 1 & 2 Bushido The Samurai favourite’s going all out for the tenth anniversary transforming the terrace and lagoon into the awesome White Lounge (think Bushra during Ramadan) and kicking off its F1 nights on Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2, with Upside Down Parties – diners are upstairs and the party’s happening downstairs with DJ Little John. Throughout the week the White Lounge will run entertainment from 5pm including a fire-show, skilled barflaring with guests getting the chance to design their own mixed drinks and crowdmusicians performing on a personal level. Thursday, April 3 Bushido The White Lounge comes over rather posh for the F1 opening party proper with a swanky VIP reception followed by DJ Getdown with singer Eri On and percussionist Jeremiah Johnson performing from 10pm into the early hours. Hip-hop influenced Frenchman DJ Getdown has been resident at Pacha NYC and Amnesia, Miami, USA, performing alongside the likes of Axwell, Chuckie and David Guetta. He’s produced singles ‘Futuristic Super Heroes’ and ‘Let Me Ride’ with Eri On on vocals and they’re joined on stage by Abu Dhabi-born percussionist Jeremiah Johnson who’s performed with big name acts such as Incubus and The Prodigy. Club F1 Club F1 at the Metropolitan Hotel has just welcomed a new band, Stylo, from the Philippines, and they’ll be marking the start of the F1 weekend with a ‘Black N White’ party with the whole venue decked out in checkered flags and the dress code black and white themed. Coral Bay Coral’s F1 opener is Ibiza Affairz from Balearic Inc featuring DJ Dani Zaro from Spain and vocalist Syra Martin. DJ Dani has been resident at various hot spots in Ibiza throwing down dance, house and techno tracks alongside big name spinners such as Laidback Luke, Redfoo and Steve Aoki. Ibrida The island’s newest nightlife venue at the Ramee Grand Hotel & Spa goes into its first F1 weekend with a visit from Swiss international DJ and producer Yves LaRock, best known for his hit ‘Rise Up’. Entry BD10 men, BD5 ladies. Call (17 111 972).
Imari The guys from X-clusive are promising ‘an event like no other’ and, on this occasion, we’re inclined to believe them. Their F1 opening party features TonteWrestlers, The Rage and Commando, from Tontaria, which runs two of London’s biggest themed club nights attracting A-list stars such as Leonardo Di Caprio and Robin Thicke. Some of the stunning Tontaria models will also be flying in alongside DJ Whoo Kid – G-Unit member and 50 Cent’s official DJ. Rocky’s The Juffair venue launches into the weekend with Piknik Park, a Hungarian tribute to the rap rockers Linkin Park. Formed in 2005, Piknik Park features Zoli Csanji on vocals, MC Albert Sinka, Gabor Doman on drums, Gabor Domjan on bass and vocals and Raja Hamsa Das on drums. Tabu Try Tabu, at the Panorama Hotel, for something a bit different with their Poetry Slam/All-White Party, staged by MAP Inc International and Quiet Storm Entertainment, featuring special guests, Gary (Big G) Glenn and Gary (Lil’ G) Jenkins, both members of the multi-platinum recording R&B group, Silk. Well known around the West End with his residency at the Picadilly Institute, he’s no stranger to the island having appeared here at a previous F1. Muju The Prestige Party 2014 has a whole host of talent coming to the gorgeous indoor/outdoor space at the Dragon Hotel & Resort in Amwaj. DJ Asle, who made the hit ‘Golden Sun’ will be on the decks alongside percussionist George Safi and saxophonist Serik and there will also be sets from UK-native, Dubai-based, DJ and vocalist duo Rich & Hoyte and DJ pair Niko and Mirko Paoloni from Italy.
