The (not-quite) real thing in Bahrain
If You Seek Britney
Reportedly the UK’s number one tribute to the Princess of Pop (how tight competition is for that title remains unverified), If You Seek Britney apparently boasts ‘identical’ costumes to the real thing, plus actual ‘live vocals’ – which is perhaps as much as you can hope from the real live Britney. Who, incidentally, the unnamed tribute singer apparently met in the USA, where the star allegedly dubbed her copycat ‘awesome.’ High praise indeed.
I Am Beyoncé
In Bahrain, Queen B will be reimaged by I Am Beyoncé (thankfully not the performer’s real name – that would be weird) who we’re told boasts ‘powerhouse vocals, explosive dance routines and stunning costumes’. Well, you’ll need that and then some to scratch near Beyoncé’s showstoppers – but we’re sure you’re in good hands with Shanay Holmes, an upcoming UK R&B singer with close to 9,000 followers on Twitter.
Info I Am Beyoncé and If You Seek Britney perform at Club Buffalo, Ramee California Hotel, Juffair on Friday April 16 at 10pm. Free entry for early birds before 8pm and ladies with advance booking. General admission BD5; gala buffet dinner including one beverage BD10, unlimited beverages BD20. Bookings 39688207 / 36131020 / 33142651.
