Coral Bay April 16-19 The BIC official After Party venue of the year is Coral Bay and so there are special ticket packages available for F1 fans and ticket holders. To celebrate, the team has put together a weekend-long programme of entertainment kicking off on April 16 with electronic music experience Shifting Gears featuring Lebanese DJ Jade. On April 17, a massive Fashion TV party called FTV Nuit Des Papillons is being held at Coral Bay with superstar Dutch DJ Patrick Hagenaar. Tickets for this are BD20 at the door. Finally, keeping the best until last, the F1 weekend concludes with a performance by top trance DJ, musician and producer Paul Van Dyk. The Grammy Award-nominated recording artist and globally renowned DJ, who’s no stranger to Bahrain, has dominated the electronic music charts and DJ polls for more than 15 years and ranked number one in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJ poll twice (serious claim to fame).Tickets for this are BD30 at the door. Ibrida April 16 To kick off the F1 festivities, popular gig venue Ibrida at the Ramee Grand Hotel & Spa is hosting the world famous singer Jay Sean who’s performing in Bahrain for the first time ever. This British singer-songwriter and rapper, born Kamaljit Singh Jhooti, debuted in the UK’s Asian Underground scene back in 2003 when he reached number 12 on the UK charts with ‘Dance With You’, as a member of the Rishi Rich Project. He soon forged a solo career, following up with two top ten hits in 2004, and is still going strong today. Tickets for this show are BD20 in advance or BD30 at the door. Call 3689 7378.
Bedrock April 16 Party on the fast track at this unique Flintstones themed bar in Ramee California Hotel where residents DJ Neil and DJ Maude are keeping up the pace on the DJ decks. Klub 360 April 17 The superstar Jamaican dancehall ambassador and multi award-winning artist Sean Paul is flying in to perform at one of Bahrain’s most popular nightclubs, Klub 360 in Elite Crystal Hotel, from 11pm. Dragon Hotel and Muju Lounge April 17 For the third year, The Dragon Hotel & Resort and Eventions are hosting the Grand Prix Prestige Party and, this year, they’re teaming up with The Cavalli Club World Tour for a memorable and exclusive opening event for a high octane weekend. The Cavalli Club World Tour, which is part of the glamorous Cavalli Club, Restaurant and Lounge, is bringing their sophisticated atmosphere and expertise to Bahrain alongside their resident DJ Jack who is now one of the UAE’s foremost DJs, hailing from Lebanon. He’ll be joined on stage by dancers famed for glitzy performances who will be free-styling to the DJ sets. To warm up the outdoor sunset session, DJ AJ is also being flown in for the tour. Meisei April 17 This fusion Asian restaurant and lounge, which is becoming well known for hosting chic parties on the rooftop, is hosting Pitbull’s official DJ Nicola Fasano. Boho Baha April 17 The Boho Baha crew has something special brewing for this extra-special weekend as they’re hosting mystical maestro YokoO from Robot Heart in Burning Man. Bushido April 19 Closing the weekend with a bang is sophisticated Japanese restaurant Bushido where number one French DJ Bob Sinclar is revving up the house. Well known for his soulful beats, Sinclar has also recently influenced by reggae and dancehall. Songs such as ‘Love Generation’, ‘World Hold On’ and ‘Rock This Party’ shot this talented man to fame and he's still in demand.
