If you’re craving Chinese but your dining companion is hankering after a taste of Thailand, Bambu is a dream come true. Every evening, this pea green fusion restaurant serves up a bountiful buffet. For BD13.8 (drinks are included in the price), you can pile your plate high with authentic Thai classics before switching to Chinese fare.
Buffets don’t always show restaurants at their best, but all the dishes Time Out has tried were competently prepared. Standouts from the selection include the thom kha gai Thai soup with chicken and coconut and the flash-fried salt and pepper crab. Desserts let the side down a tad but service is fine and, for the most part, you’d be hard pushed to find a better-value buffet in Bahrain. Go with a group of friends and enjoy.
