We went to the restaurant for our Thanksgiving- not that great- but we were stupid enough to give them one more try for our Christmas dinner
bright lit room with blaring music from the radio ( pretty christmas tree)
It was terrible, and over priced......turkey and ham was delicous, and we were impressed that our meal was hot this time.....every side dish was alot to be desired! Mushy dressing, lumpy, tasteless pumpkin soup, very bland apple pie, runny sugary pecan pie.......we had our Christmas eve dinner at Trader Vics the night before- tenderloin, & salmon- for 10 bd less!!! Rics is way overpriced.

Ric's is a great idea but I feel like this place capitalizes on American homesickness. We went for Fried Chicken night and were disgusted for so many reasons. Service in Bahrain isn't a strong point to begin with but I probably shouldn't have had to track down the waitress to get my bill. I never saw her between when she delivered the water and when I wanted to pay. On to the food - there were no legs or breasts, just tiny almost meatless pieces of breading and bone. The cold slaw and potato salad weren't even on ice, they were just sitting out - warm and gross. The gravy was watery and near flavorless and the mashed potatoes looked liked they had been cooked in grease and also had no flavor. The corn on the cob would have been the most appetizing thing on the menu if there had been butter available. All in all, we'll check out local restaurants before we'll return. Ric should be ashamed of this place.

After being told by nearly every American we have met here we finally decided to go to Ric's for dinner. I don't know where people have been eating in the US to compare to this place, but the food was horrible. We ordered nachos - they were soggy and inedible - they had been microwaved - who microwaves nachos? This is a restaraunt, not a frat house so I would have thought they would have known enough to put them in an oven. My husband had the Mexican buffet - he is still complaining nearly 24 hours later. I had the country fried chicken - like most food here it was under seasoned and needed a little salt , it was ok. The bigger issue was the mashed potatoes that came along with it - I don't know when they were cooked, but it was long before they got to my plate. The smell of the potatoes was so strong and foul that it turned our stomaches. The service was slow and surly, the floor was greasy and slippery and we had to pass through a metal dector on the way in - all this for only $100. Save yourself the trouble - stay home or go somewhere else! If you want delicious nachos go to the K Lounge at the K Hotel - hot from the oven, light, crispy corn chips with your choice of toppings for 1/3 the price of Ric's inedible mess.
