Saar appears be getting its own mini restaurant district with several new eateries having popped up in recent months surrounding Time Out favourite Villa Mamas in the small area opposite Saar Cinema.
Eatery Next to Villa Mamas, on Road 3374, is new fine dining venue Eatery which serves both Indian and Italian cuisine cooked by native chefs. Open daily from 8am-11pm, it also has a rather good breakfast menu. Call (36 222 660)
L’Avenue Really good value European food and pizzas and pastas, just opposite Road 3374, with a nice outdoor seating area. Call (39 901 133)
Bonfire Opposite L’Avenue across the green square is Bonfire serving fairly upmarket international cuisine with a good choice of dishes and funky interiors. Call (38 868 801)
There are also further venues under development scheduled to open in the coming months, one next to Bonfire and one next to L’Avenue with further building work going on round about.
