The Ritz-Carlton steakhouse pays homage to black and white truffles
Time Out Bahrain staff
Chef Yann Bernard Lejard of popular contemporary steakhouse Plums, based in The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, is bringing the white and Burgundy black truffle to Bahrain through a specially created seasonal menu with a special chef’s table to take place on December 11.
All week, the restaurant has been serving culinary creations including dishes such as the beef carpaccio with truffle oil, rocket and sour cream or seared scallops with celery mousseline and brioche, as well as prime cuts of Wagyu and Black Angus tenderloin and a milk chocolate, black truffle and lemon confit to close the evening.
On top of that, diners have the choice to add truffle by the gram to any of their regular a la carte selections or go all out with this indulgent set menu.
It all culminates with a chef’s table on December 11, from 7pm to 11.30pm, when Chef Yann is taking part in an exclusive menu tasting and grape pairing, for which advance recommendations are a must.
Prices on the a la carte truffle selection range from BD10 to BD55, subject to service charge and government levy, while the chef’s table and set menu with grape pairing costs BD55++ for food only or BD70++ with grape pairing.
