Unpretentious café exudes warmth in the Hoora area Discuss this article

With its chocolate brown and white interior and floor-to-ceiling windows, Vida exudes sunlit warmth – even if it is slap bang in the middle of the gritty Hoora area. The overall appeal of the place is given a further boost by the smell of fresh bread from the deli counter. For breakfast, tuck into buttery croissants, rustic rolls, yoghurt and granola, fresh fruit and moreish smoothies.

The lunchtime specialty is hearty but healthy sandwiches and salads supplemented by soups, pasta of the day, cakes and cookies. All dishes are fresh, organic and served by smiley staff. Newspapers are available for those who’d like to linger, or those in a hurry can take their treats home (or just have them delivered to your door in the first place). Essentially this is a pleasant, unpretentious lunchtime spot where you can guzzle or gorge without guilt (well, maybe just a few pangs when devouring one of the cakes).
