Night racing at Bahrain International Circuit returns
Push your motor to the limits under the floodlights
Time Out Bahrain staff
Petrol heads and thrill seekers listen up – the Bahrain International Circuit is bringing back evening racing on Friday, May 30, 2014 with an open track night.
With a brand new track lighting system to hand, racing fans can drive their very own vehicles, and push them to their limits, under the floodlights. Just take your chosen motor along and, after an inspection and briefing on rules and techniques, hit the road.
You can choose from a range of options, specifically, a full night’s drive that includes eight sessions on the track from 4pm to midnight for BD105 or the half-night option from 4pm to 7pm or 8pm to 11pm for BD75.
On the other hand, single sessions can be bought for BD40 or if you want to be involved but don’t want to drive, then you can ride along in the passenger seat for BD15 or BD12. Meanwhile, spectators can watch free of charge.
If you book early, however, you can enjoy a range of discounts such as BD90 for the full-night option or BD65 for half.
Alternatively, on Fridays, try the Caterham Xtreme experience when you can get into the passenger seat of a Caterham and speed around the track next to a BIC driving instructor. This costs BD15 per person per session. Call 1745 0000 or visit www.bahraingp.com for more information.
