The British Club
A Christmas pantomime is one festive tradition it would be all too easy to miss out on here in Bahrain. But the Manama Theatre Club is an amateur organisation keen to bring some comedic drama to the local stage. Members have selected Robin Hood as this year’s panto show. Oh yes they have!

A teddy bear afternoon tea will raise money for charity through teddy donations (and cash presumably) and there are also gingerbread house-making lessons from a Ritz-Carlton pastry chef.

Bohemian community arts collective Boho Baha will be hosting an original festive celebration at this Adliya-based Italian restaurant. Staged as a live storytelling of Tim Burton’s A Nightmare before Christmas, the evening will include spooky character performances, music and theatrical interactions. It's one not to be missed.

Kids will love the gingerbread house workshops at the Westin Bahrain. As well as scoffing sugary treats, it is an opportunity for them to make a crafty gift and while away a festive hour.

Al Areen Palace & Spa
Escape the bustle of Manama and get out of town for a festive road trip to Al Areen. When you’re away let children build, personalise and decorate their own gingerbread house.

Since hearing about the Ritz-Carlton’s Santa afternoon tea we’ve been in a trance-like state of anticipation. Why? Well apart from the visit of Father Christmas and the usual Ritz-Carlton quality of tea and sandwiches we hear that there will be a chocolate buffet as well. A. Chocolate. Buffet.

Spa parties for young princesses in Bahrain have been popular for a few years and celebrations of a seasonal nature are lined up for December. Kids can have fun decorating gingerbread houses, getting festive makeovers and playing Christmas games at the custom party venue.
