Michelin-star food, Shakespeare and the spiralizer in Bahrain

Things to do in Bahrain: January 11-14

The Globe’s Hamlet
Even if all you know about Shakespeare’s Hamlet is “To be, or not to be: that is the question” (and even if you didn’t know that was actually from Hamlet), the Globe Theatre’s rendition of this powerful and influential tragedy is certainly worth a watch. The world-famous London company is coming to the Cultural Hall for one night only, as part of a two-year world tour with the fictional Danish Prince.
Free. Monday January 11. 7pm. Cultural Hall, www.culture.gov.bh.

Veggie Spiralizer
For those of you tackling new diets this new year, you’ll be pleased to know Virgin Megastores now has the spiralizer, perfect for vegetable-rich diets. Basically, it thinly slices veg into spirals to replace starchy, processed pasta. Zoodles, anyone?
BD23. Virgin Megastore, City Centre Bahrain (17 172 300).

Rasoi by Vineet
Time Out Bahrain’s Best Indian restaurant of the year Rasoi by Vineet is turning one. To celebrate the occasion this impressive eatery is offering a signature dessert and glass of bubbles to all diners who book on this night.
Free. Monday January 11. 7pm-11pm. Gulf Hotel Bahrain, Adliya (17 713 000).
