Bahrain City Centre marks National Day

The Art of C exhibit is ‘A tribute to the Kingdom’

Head over to Bahrain City Centre’s Central Galleria from Sunday November 23 to have a look through a range of interesting artworks inspired by the island’s materials, as the mall hosts its second annual ‘Art of C’ exhibition.

To mark Bahrain’s 43rd National Day, the country’s leading shopping destination is running the exhibition under the theme ‘A tribute to the Kingdom’ until Friday November 28.

The mall has reunited with famed artist Abbas Al Mousawi and the Bahrain Arts Society, alongside other seasoned Bahraini artists with emerging talent, asking them to transform ten C-shaped canvases (inspired by the mall’s logo) into celebrated pieces of art using various forms of mixed media and materials native to Bahrain such as embroidered fabrics, woven palm tree leaves, seashells and calligraphy.

Shoppers with Instagram accounts can post photos of the works for the chance to win some great prizes. Additionally, Bahrain City Centre is creating a digital Art of C workshop application on Facebook so you can design your own C-shaped artwork, which will then be celebrated in an online gallery.
