Transparencies II

A new exhibition by the Jordanian artist HRH Princess Wijdan launched on October 8 at the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Heritage, showcasing artworks made of glass and paper. The princess quite the scholar, with numerous published books on traditional and contemporary Islamic art in English and Arabic, but these recent works focus on the subject of love. Pieces include Murano glass sculptures and delicate paintings on rice paper.
