Nothing brightens up a city like a green space – and residents in Diyar Al Muharraq are about to get a pretty big park.
Hadiqat Al Diyar, which will have two football pitches, two outdoor gyms and an almost 400 sq m children’s play area, will open in the fourth quarter of this year, developers have said.
The 32,800 sq m space will also feature a rubber-surfaced running track, two picnic spaces and a food and beverages area.
Work began on the park, which is next to Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Grand Mosque, in March 2019.
For those travelling from outside the development, there will also be 200 parking spaces, making this spot very convenient to reach.
Ahmed Alammadi, CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq, said, “Diyar Al Muharraq will offer a unique and new concept to parks in the Kingdom of Bahrain, designed to provide something for all. It is an ideal destination for both residents and visitors who wish to enjoy various recreational activities or exercise.
“The park provides a number of recreational facilities, culinary offerings and sports activities for families and individuals of all ages to enjoy leisure time outdoors.”
