A huge aquarium and underwater zoo is set to be built at Marassi Galleria.

Once finished, the attraction will span 26,900 sq ft and hold more than 200 species of fish.

It will be split into four different ecological zones: the rainforest, the ocean trench, the jellyfish, and the reef zone.

For those of you who are adventurous, you’ll also be able to go on a diving experience in the aquarium, and assist with feeding the animals.

Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director, Emaar Properties PJSC who said, “After witnessing the success of our Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, it was decided to replicate the experience in the Bahraini market.

“As the latest addition to Emaar Entertainment's diverse portfolio of offerings, Marassi Aquarium and Underwater Zoo will provide innovative experiences to suit individuals and groups.

“This comes in line with our commitment to developing unparalleled attractions across the MENA region, and we expect that it will become a popular destination for tourists across the region.”

The Marassi Galleria Mall is also set to have a 13-screen cinema run by the Bahrain Cinema Company (Cineco), a trampoline park, and a virtual reality theme park.
