Tiger

No frills safari-themed watering hole open 24hrs

Time Out Says

Fittingly, the decor of this down-at-the-heel sixth floor drinking den is safari themed – think leopard print sofas and walls that have been painted orange and black (see what they’ve done there?) The atmosphere is loud, courtesy of two pool tables, blaring TV screens and a DJ playing random tracks to a predominantly male audience who don’t seem to mind that the speaker system sounds like it was snapped up at a car boot sale.

However, any lack of finesse is compensated for by the prices – which are lower than most Bahraini drinking joints. Food is also reasonably priced, although the sullen staff would rather you just stuck to liquid refreshment. All told, apart from the fact that Tiger is open 24/7, and it’s reasonably cheap, there’s really very little to recommend about this place. If you want to waste a few hours of your life then by all means go ahead, otherwise avoid at all costs. You have been warned.
