Club F1

Popular bar with dancefloor, pub grub and TVs

Time Out Says

This venue has a fun vibe even on busy nights, with discounted drinks to help things along. In keeping with the bar’s moniker, sports screens display all the big match action, including F1 (for which Bahrain is famed) and there are pool tables where you can play between pints. Not a sports fan? Throw some shapes on the sticky dancefloor – the in-house band play a surprisingly wide range of tracks, and are not too bad at all.

Of course all that body bopping will leave you feeling hungry, and F1 is great if you’re a fan of grease – nachos, burgers and other calorific Americana fare all feature. We’ve fallen in love with the bull’s eye. This rich chocolate truffle cake served with hot chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream is definitely worth sacrificing your cholesterol count for. Entrance to this pleasure pit for the undiscerning is free, which means that an evening of fun at F1 doesn’t necessarily equal financial destitution.
