Dublin Club

Popular haunt with US navy and impressive live band

Time Out Says

A very popular haunt with the US Navy, Dublin’s has a great band, Evolver, who’ve just returned for a second six month residency due to public demand.

They and DJ Conny, a strange-looking character who seems continually able to catch the mood of the crowd, give Dubz, as it’s mostly known, a special sort of charm particularly since there are regular karaoke nights at which the punters can join the band.

The pong tables, on which you play a ridiculous game (can you tell I’m not very good at it) involving trying to get a ping pong ball into a full plastic drink cup at the opposite end of the table and having to finish the contents if your opponent manages it first, are a firm favourite with regulars and soon have newcomers hooked.

The atmosphere’s always friendly, even when it’s really busy, but the staff can be a wee might stern when the going gets tough.

There are regular drinks promotions throughout the week and more ladies’ nights than you can shake a stick at.
