Rocky's Café

Busy bar near US naval base has regular music and drink deals

Time Out Says

The name can be quite deceiving, when we think of cafés we imagine tea and cakes or maybe even a glass of vino and Rocky’s is about as far from that vision as you can get.

It’s big and it’s loud and it’s really not the place to go for a quiet night but, that said, if you’re feeling a bit low, Rocky’s can be an ideal pick-me-up particularly on the weekends when the atmosphere is positively buzzing.

That’s thanks, in part, to the excellent house band, the newly arrived Remix, who really do play something for everyone – pretty much all of it guaranteed to fill the dance floor with resounding beats and fab vocals.

Being close to the Naval base and a favourite with lots of service personnel, It can get very packed at weekends when you might find the bar staff slightly frazzled but it’s usually worth the wait for a fun night out
