Shift 7

Stylish Bahrain sports bar with regular theme nights and karaoke

Time Out Says

This is a funny sort of venue, it’s definitely not anyone’s local, well unless you live on the 13 floors below it, but that seems to be the atmosphere it’s aiming for.

Sometimes it succeeds, sometimes not. When it’s busy, the atmosphere can be really jumping and they make a big deal of special events like Formula One.

But when it’s quiet, it’s still a great place to appreciate the views. You’re on the 14th floor with windows looking out across the bay and an impressive view of the skyline.

That said, it can be a bit quiet mid-week but they do have regular theme nights and karaoke and, of course, Shift 7 is primarily a sports bar so you’ll catch all the action on the big screens. Plus it’s interesting to check out the motorsports memorabilia particularly with the big race just around the corner and this being the island’s only F1-themed bar.

The prices are reasonable, the bar food selection is good and tasty and the staff are always friendly and helpful, even when the place is really busy which it frequently is.
